Country Music Ain't Dead!

As mentioned in a previous blog, my mom and sister came down to celebrate the February birthdays with us. (Happy Birthday today, Mom!)On their last night in town, we went on a pub crawl on Broadway in Nashville! Who knew I was related to Vanna and Vanna White! ha! We went to this little bar called "Roberts" and had fried bologna sandwiches, sweet potato fries and Pabst blue ribbon beer. Mom had a chili dog that, later, started barking at her! Ha! The music in this bar is usually vintage country, e.g. Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, etc.. In fact, the bass player for Johnny Cash was in the band!

Then we went to the Wildhorse Saloon. What a place! If you ever get to Nashville, this is a must see on your list. The entertainment was really good!

We also saw Coyote Ugly. Denny had been hearing about it on the radio and wanted to see what it was like. The biggest surprise there was that we all got carded. Ha! Ha! What a hoot! We had a great time! Y'all come back now, y'hear?
